Hotel
The three buildings that currently compose Hotel Villa Maria have a history of their own. Two in fact were born as aristocratic patronal villas.
Villa Maria (the central structure) and Villa Magda (the white building), were separated from each other by a fenced garden. The third building, also separated from the others, was already constructed as a hotel in the fifties, the renowned Hotel Nice.
A PLACE WHERE TIME SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED
Those which today seem to be architectural oddities responded to the "noble" needs of the time: a very high and wide entrance because it was the access for "carriages and coachman" directly on-site, guests accessed to richly decorated halls, illuminated by the light of the sun for afternoon tea or for elegant evening receptions.
